After a positive update in March, April has seen prices take a small hit. As the average price of scrap cars has reduced slightly, it’s not all bad news, they’re still the second highest prices seen this year so far and are considerably higher than the prices on offer in April 2021.
April saw prices decrease compared to those in March. Although month on month prices took a hit, year on year comparisons are up considerably, an increase of 88% year on year, which equates to prices being €138 higher! With prices still higher than they were for much of 2021, it’s a great time to get cash for your scrap car.
The average value of a scrap car is influenced by factors such as, the global demand for scrap metals, any reusable parts, plus the make, model, age, weight, condition, and even location of your car.
