After you've accepted your quote, we'll try to contact you by email or phone to arrange a convenient time for us to collect your car.
If we haven't been able to get in touch before the end of the working day, we'll try again first thing the next working day.
If we're unable to contact you by phone and we have your mobile number or email address we may try to send you a text or email. Please check your junk or spam filters to allow emails from info@CarTakeBack.ie.
We'll do our best to fit in with you and most collections are arranged within two working days.
Collections usually take place from Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 6pm, and between 9am and 4pm on Saturdays. But please let us know if you're in a hurry, or you need us to collect your car earlier or later than this, or on a Sunday, and we'll do our best to help.
And, if you tell us your mobile number, we'll send you a text message to remind you nearer the time.
We'll only use your email and phone number to contact you about your car. We protect your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
You'll need to have a few things ready:
- your identification and proof of address ready;
-
your documents (such as your vehicle registration certificate, NCT certificate, service history and manuals) if you have them;
-
any keys, if you have them;
-
Finally, don’t forget to remove any personal belongings and rubbish.
On the day of collection we'll:
-
check that your car matches your quote;
-
check and take a copy of your identification;
-
take care of the paperwork;
-
finally, we’ll sort out your payment.
If you have more than three months of tax remaining on your car, you can get a refund from your local Motor Tax Office.
Your reference number uses the format 'CC-0000-000000'. We'll give this to you when you get a quote and it will be shown on any emails we send to you. Your reference number makes it easier for us to pull up your details, and guarantees the price we've quoted.
No, we'll try our best to collect your car if it's in a difficult location. However, unless you tell us otherwise we'll assume that your car is accessible.
If you tell us that your car might not be accessible after we've provided a quote, we'll let you know whether or not we need to adjust the price. If we do adjust the price, there's no obligation for you to go ahead.
Accessible means that your car is parked on solid ground with inflated tyres, so that it can be safely winched onto a recovery vehicle. It is important for you to tell us if your car is not accessible, for example if your car is blocked in, the steering is locked or the tyres are flat, as this could affect the collection of your car and accordingly the validity of the quote.
