No, your car doesn't need to have a valid National Car Test (NCT) certificate.

We may ask you whether there is a valid NCT certificate. As it may be unsafe, or even illegal, to drive a car on public roads without a valid NCT certificate, we recommend that you arrange for us to collect your car.
